Al Fakher E-Hookah vs a Traditional Hookah: What Changes When You Switch
Most people in the UAE know Al Fakher from the shisha tobacco served in cafés and at home. The same company sells Crown Bar disposables, which shops often call e-hookahs, in the same flavour names. If you are thinking of putting the hookah aside for one, this is what actually changes.
Side by side
| Traditional hookah | Al Fakher e-hookah (Crown Bar) | |
|---|---|---|
| What you need | Base, stem, bowl, hose, coals, foil or a heat manager, and shisha tobacco | One pre-filled device |
| Before the first draw | Pack the bowl and heat the coals | Take it out of the box and draw |
| Heat source | Burning charcoal | A battery-powered coil, recharged over USB-C |
| Cleaning | Rinse the base, stem and hose regularly | None. Recycle the device when the liquid runs out |
| Nicotine | Depends on the tobacco you buy | Printed on the box: 0.5% to 2% across the Crown Bar models we sell |
| Where you use it | At home or in a café that serves shisha | Fits in a pocket. Follow the local rules on where vaping is allowed |
An evening with each
With a hookah, the evening starts before the first puff. You fill the base, pack the bowl, cover it, light the coals and wait for the heat to come through. Halfway through you move or replace coals. Afterwards there is ash to throw away and a hose to rinse.
With an Al Fakher e-hookah, you draw and the device fires. You can stop after two puffs or twenty, put it back in your pocket and pick it up the next day. When the battery runs low you plug it into a USB-C cable. When the liquid runs out, the device is finished.
What carries over, and what does not
The flavour names carry over. Two Apple, Grape Mint, Gum Mint and Lemon Mint all exist as Crown Bar flavours, so you can start with the bowl you used to order. What does not carry over is the ritual. There is no hose to pass around a table, no bowl to share, and the clouds are smaller than from a full coal-heated bowl. If the social side of shisha is the part you enjoy most, a disposable will not replace it.
Which Crown Bar is closest to a hookah?
The E Hose X 60000. Al Fakher gave it a hose-style mouthpiece and a 50ml tank. It draws direct-to-lung, the way a hookah does, carries 0.6% nicotine and has a 60,000-puff rating. It also tops our Al Fakher sales. AED 55, or ten for AED 500.
The Ice Adjust 15000 suits people who liked mint or ice bowls, because the cooling level can be turned up or down. 30ml tank, 0.6% nicotine.
The Mega Max 40000 is the pick if a mild device feels too soft. It carries 20mg nicotine salt, the strongest in this group. AED 40, or ten for AED 380.
Which flavour should you start with?
Start with the flavour you already order at a café. If you are not sure, our order history points to Cool Mango first, then Peach Ice, then Two Apple. All three are available on the E Hose X. Prices and nicotine levels for the whole range sit together on our Al Fakher shisha vape page.
Quick answers
Is an e-hookah the same as a vape?
Yes. E-hookah is the name shops use for disposable vapes styled and flavoured after shisha.
Does Al Fakher still make shisha tobacco?
Yes. The company’s story starts with shisha tobacco in 1999, and it still sells it. Crown Bar is the vape line that came later.
Can I get it delivered in the UAE?
Yes. A Dubai order takes one to two hours. Sharjah and Ajman orders arrive before the day ends, the rest of the UAE inside 24 hours. Baskets of AED 350 or more travel free, and you pay in cash at the door. Adults 18+ only.
